Born in 1872, as the Louisville Branch Railroad Company, it changed name as the Louisville and Wadley Railroad Company in 1879 when a 10 miles track was build, all of it located within, Georgia

In 1898 the Central of Georgia bought the company and on 1961, private investor bought the company that was rename Louisville and Wadley Railroad Company.

According to my old "Railway Official equipment Register of 2007 ", they own about 2800 railroad cars.

Née en 1872 sous le nom de " Louisville Branch Railroad Company ", son nom a été changer pour le " Louisville and Wadley Railroad Company " en 1879 quand une voie ferré de 16km dans l'état de la Georgie.

En 1898, le " Central of Georgia " achète la compagnie et en fait la revente en 1961 a des intérêts privés qui renomme la compagnie; " Louisville and Wadley Railroad Company ".

Selon mon vieux "Railway Official equipment Register of 2007 ",la LW possède environ 2800 wagons.
